Daniel Costin

Dan is a Clinical Psychologist with an interest in body-based psychotherapy.

He integrates embodied awareness and movement practices with cognitive, behavioural, and psychodynamic approaches, for the treatment of mental health concerns relating to anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, and trauma.

Dan has over 15 years of clinical experience and has assisted a wide range of clients across his career, including peers in LGBTIQ+ communities, fellow health practitioners, and police and military personnel.

He established his private practice in Canberra in 2008 and joined the team at OsteopathicSense following a move to Melbourne in 2022. He also works as a locum counsellor at the University of Melbourne and a volunteer counsellor at Thorne Harbour Health.


Dan works at the Fitzroy clinic offering in person and online consultations to adults on:

Wednesdays from 2pm - 7pm

Thursdays from 8.30am - 1.30pm

Saturdays from 8.30am - 1.30pm

A Medicare rebate of $131.65 is available on a capped number of sessions for clients referred by their GP or psychiatrist under the Better Access initiative.

Following payment of your upfront fee and receipt of your Medicare rebate, the out-of-pocket expense would be:

Initial/return consultation: $120.35
Concession: $78.35

The concession rate is offered to full-time students and holders of a Health Care Card. DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.
