Isabelle Hum
Born and raised in Canada, Isabelle’s journey towards becoming a dietitian brought her to Melbourne 5 years ago. A fitness enthusiast herself, she was interested in how nutrition impacted an athlete’s overall health and performance. She graduated from La Trobe University after completing a Masters of Dietetic Practice.
Isabelle strongly believes in being empathetic, non-judgemental, and compassionate with every person she meets. Using a holistic and client-centred approach, she empowers her clients with the skills they need to achieve their goals. Further to this, her strategies are always evidence-based, practical, and sustainable.
As an accredited practicing Dietitian, she has experience providing medical nutrition therapy for adults with a variety of clinical conditions including diabetes, heart disease, and gastrointestinal illnesses. She also works with a range of athletes whether it be to recover from injuries or prepare for a competition.
Her special interests are in sports nutrition, digestive health, and plant-based diets. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading fantasy books and walking her dog.
Isabelle is registered for private health rebates and the Chronic Disease Management/Enhanced Primary Care plan.
